Abstract

Background, pain in mothers post sectio caesarea caused various problems, one of them was lactation, 68% of mothers complained of difficulties in caring for their fetus and up and down and changing positions (Astutik & Kurlinawati, 2017). The results of interview on 5 mothers of post sectio caesarea , 4 mothers said the scale pain 5 and one person said scale pain 3. Five mothers have been guided by breathing in pain but have never heard guided imagery. Method, Design Quasi experiment. Quota sampling technique with the number of 30 post sectio caesarean mothers on the first day.The guide imagery group is guided to focus on the breath and listen to the nurse's story accompanied by soft music. The instrument of this study used a Numerical Rating Scale Statistical analysis with paired t test and multivariate with linear regression. Results, Effect of guided imagery on pain by controlling the outside variable regression coefficient of -3.5 with p value 0.0 (p <0.5) and adjusted R2 of 0.63. Conclusion, There is influence of guided imagery on the pain of the first day for mothers post sectio caesare at Bethesda Hospital. Guided imagery can reduce maternal pain post sectiocaesarea on the first day by 3.5 points lower than before the intervention with a large influence of 63%.
